About us

We're on a mission to help marketing leaders create modern marketing teams that drive growth

Who we are

We’re a specialist management consulting firm for marketing leaders like you, led by an award-winning former CMO, Ty Hayes. So we deeply understand the challenges you face.

As a marketing leader, we know that you need to drive growth in some form: revenue, market share, brand, acquisition or retention. And that’s where we come in.

We firmly believe that your team is the most powerful asset you have to shift the needle on your growth metrics.

Problems we solve

Having been a CMO and worked alongside marketing leaders for years through Growth Generators, we’ve become experts in resolving the thorny challenges associated with creating modern marketing teams that drive growth.

These issues persist regardless of your organisation’s industry and growth stage; it’s usually just the concentration levels that vary.

See which challenges you’re facing from the list below, and click through to find out more and how we can support you.

Priorities

Issues

There is a lack of transparency about how marketing prioritises their work.

You have a series of operational plans that need a unifying marketing strategy.

The team are focused on promotion, and you’d like them to address more of the 7 Ps of marketing.

It’s difficult to prove the commercial impact that marketing is making.

There needs to be more alignment between the organisational and marketing strategies.

You need the team to focus on fewer priorities with more significant effort to meet ambitious growth targets.

Team members are unsure if they’re making an impact.

You want to engage the team in strategy development but lack time to facilitate it.

Structure & Capabilities

Issues

The team structure creates silos and impedes your agility and the ability to enhance the customer experience.

You need to find some cost-savings or efficiencies in the team, but you’re unsure how.

You need to grow the team, but you’re unsure how.

You’re uncertain about the balance of in-house and external resourcing.

You’re uncertain about discrepancies in job titles, levels, control span, and salaries across the team.

You’re unable to tackle strategic initiatives because you lack vital capabilities.

You don’t feel like you have the leadership support you need in the team.

You recognise it’s hard to evaluate your team and can see the value of an independent review.

Processes

Issues

You want the team to operate cross-functionally and increase its capacity to respond to change.

It takes too long, and getting things done in the team takes a lot of work.

You sense the team wastes time due to poor processes,  duplication of effort, or too many meetings.

Relationships between Marketing and stakeholders are sub-optimal.

There is a sense that the team is busy but not as effective as they could be.

It’s challenging to scale your marketing efforts without increasing headcount.

You want the team to feel empowered, engaged and effective

You need to get to market faster  and find more efficient working methods.

You want the team to focus on delivering customer and business outcomes over outputs and activity.

Culture

Issues

You want the team to understand each other better and work harmoniously together.

Employee turnover is higher than you’d prefer.

Employee engagement is lower than you’d prefer.

The team lacks a shared understanding of what a high-performance team is.

There is unhealthy conflict and or lack of trust between teams.

   Managers need some leadership fundamentals.

You worry that some team members aren’t comfortable speaking up, sharing ideas or admitting mistakes.

You know that creating a strong team culture is imperative to driving results.

Status Quo

Issues

You worry that your competitors are more innovative in marketing and launching new products and services.

You have the desire to help create new revenue streams for the business.

You suspect the team isn’t fully harnessing data and customer insights to identify new growth opportunities.

You want to grow your reputation as an innovative marketing leader and help your team have a more significant impact.

What we do

We help you to create a modern marketing team that drives growth. More specifically, we help you to design, align and optimise your marketing team.

We do this through consulting, training and coaching based on our 5-stage marketing team transformation framework, Hi-Fli.

Importantly, besides our marketing expertise, we’re equally passionate and proficient in organisational development and leadership.

After all, you can’t drive transformation without considering the human side of change.
